I'm New Here FAQ's

Visiting a new church for the first time can sometimes be an overwhelming experience.

The special people making up the congregation at FPC have a way of making you

feel like a family member from your very first visit with us.

FPC is a no-pressure, nurturing environment that allows everyone to grow

and to journey in faith at their own pace. Whether you are beginning to explore the

Christian faith, are a longtime Christian or are returning to the church after a time away,

there is a place for you at Fallston Presbyterian Church.

  • When is Service?

    • Come worship with us Sundays at 10:30am.

    • During the summer, worship begins at 9:30 am
      (Mid-June through Labor Day)
Weather permitting; we worship once a month in our memorial garden.

  • Where is the Church?

    • The Church has been a staple in the community for over 140 years.

    • You may know us as the white church with the columns on Fallston Road.
If you are new to the area our address is:
600 Fallston Road, Fallston, MD 21047

    • Parking and entrance are behind the building.

    • Enter the sanctuary via the doors on the left of the building. The entrance to Church office and Pre-K is located on the right side of the building.  A lighted doorbell marks this door.

  • What can I expect during Worship?

    • Visitors can expect a warm and friendly welcome from the greeter at the door as well as the rest of the congregation. Worship services are traditional but casual, with a blend of hymns and contemporary music, lasting about one hour. Enjoy the lovely sounds of our choir accompanied by our organ and piano.

    • Please feel free to sit wherever you like and participate in worship as much as you feel comfortable.

    • The bulletin will be your guide through the service, inviting you to stand for hymns, prayers and readings (asterisks when you stand, and congregational responses are written out for convenience).

  • What should I wear?

    • Please come as you are. Some people dress up and some people don’t.
It is not about what you wear; it is about worshiping with your fellow Church members.

  • When is Communion served?

    • All those who trust in Jesus Christ and are baptized in His name are welcome to share in the Lord’s Supper, served on the first Sunday of each month. Gluten-free Communion is also available upon request.

  • What is available for children at FPC?

    • We take pride in our children’s ministry...you will see children feel at home here.

    • After the first 10 minutes of worship, The Pastor invites all the children up front for a short fun children's message. Children are

then excused to the classroom for Sunday School: Bible stories, crafts,

and games.  On Communion Sundays, children go to Sunday School first, then return to join in the sacrament.

    • We also have a nursery for your littler ones to play if they would like, but they are welcome to stay with you throughout the service if you prefer. We have worship bags (coloring books and quiet games) available by the front door if needed.

    • In addition to a summer vacation Bible school, the church hosts

monthly mission activities (KIDS SOAR) as well as special family focused events (ex. Learning the Lord’s Prayer, The Meaning of Communion)

  • Do you offer devices for visitors with special needs?

    • We have Hearing Assist as well as Large-print hymnals available for use. We have a ramp leading to the sanctuary doors and a wheelchair available for use on site.

  • Who can become a member of Fallston Presbyterian Church?

    • Anyone may become a member of FPC.  No person shall be denied membership because of age, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnic origin,

class, or any other reason not related to profession of faith.

    • If you are interested in becoming a member of our Church family, please see our Pastor for information and details.
