Kelly has a passion for helping children learn, with background in curriculum and professional development. She earned a bachelor's degree in early childhood education and a master's degree in instructional technology. Kelly taught for 15 years in Harford County and the private sector, and served as the Director of Virtual Learning Center. She created a learning coach program to help mentor teachers in their development. Kelly is also a mom of a Pre-K graduate here at Fallston Community Pre-K and cites her love for this program and its great academic foundation as key reasons why she is delighted to serve as its Director.
Amy Kraft

Amy was born and raised in Harford County and currently resides in Kingsville with her husband and two daughters. Ever since she was in Kindergarten it has been a dream of hers to become a teacher. Upon graduating from The John Carroll School in 1999, she went to York College of Pennsylvannia to study education. She graduated from York College with honors in the spring of 2003. After earning her B.S. in Elementary Education with a concentration in Science, she was hired by Harford County Public Schools and has been teaching ever since! She is dual certified through the State of Maryland to teach Pre-K through 8th grade and over the past 13 years has taught Preschool 3's, Preschool 4's, Full-Day Kindergarten and 3rd grade. In 2008, Amy graduated from Towson University with a Master's of Education in Elementary Education. Amy loves spending time with her family, going to the beach, fishing and reading. She has been a part of our FPK family since 2013!
Marcie Sobczak

Marcie was born and raised in Harford County and currently resides in Jarrettsville with her husband and three daughters. In 2006 Marcie earned her Masters of Arts in Teaching through Towson University. She taught special education for five years in Anne Arundel County Public Schools before taking a couple of years off to stay home with her children. Marcie returned to the classroom in 2013 at the preschool level and has enjoyed working with children at the beginning of their academic journey. Marcie is excited to be a part of the FPK community.
Angie Sokolov

Angie is originally from Harford County and moved back a few years ago with her husband and two daughters. She graduated from Bel Air High School in 2000 and then continued on to attend Elon University where she received a B.F.A in Music Theatre. Her love for acting, singing and dancing led her to New York City where she lived her dream of performing Off-Broadway for many years. Angie has always had a passion and energy for young children and in 2009 she went back to Graduate School where she earned her Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from City College of New York. She went on to teach preschool at a prestigious private school in Soho. Both of Angie's daughters are graduates of FPK. Angie loves teaching at Fallston Community Pre-K and can't imagine teaching anywhere else.
Jennie Varga

2 Day 3's class
Jennie is a resident of Harford County with her husband, Sean and two daughters ages 12 and 7. She earned her bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies from Villa Julie College and her master’s degree curriculum design and instruction from McDaniel College. Jennie taught for 20 years in a Baltimore County preschool that both her girls attended. When her youngest graduated, she made the transition from Baltimore County to Harford County, at Fallston Community Pre-K. She found working with young children to be her professional calling by helping to nurture both social and cognitive development. Some of Jennie’s favorite pastimes include spending time with her family and friends at her family beach home in Ocean City, gardening, the Baltimore Ravens, and scrapbooking.
Katie Harrington

Katie graduated from Stevenson University and holds a B.S. in Family and Human Services. Katie's children attended Fallston Community Pre-K. She then started as a substitute at our school and joined the teaching team in 2019. In her spare time, Katie enjoys running and spending time with her active family.
Laura Miller
Teacher Assistant
3 Day 4's class / 3 Day 3's class
Laura currently resides in Bel Air with her husband, Todd. Together they have three boys, ages 31, 26, and 21. After a short career in advertising, Laura resigned to stay home and raise her children. When ready to return to work, Laura knew she wanted to be a teacher and began pursuing a second career in education. In 2013 Laura earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix. Laura taught as a substitute teacher for two years in various Harford County schools, grades K-3, before accepting a position in Baltimore County where she taught Kindergarten for five years. Laura currently holds dual certification in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She is so excited to enter the preschool level at FPK and looks forward to working with the 3’s and 4’s. Some of Laura’s favorite things include spending time with her family and friends, reading, the beach, cooking, and dining out!
Linda Boehmer

Linda is an experienced office professional, with additional experience in preschool and daycare. She grew up in the Baltimore area, lived in Myrtle Beach, SC, for 16 years, and has returned to live in Fallston at work at Fallston Presbyterian Church. She enjoys traveling and reading.

Linda greets families at the door, handles the phones, and assists the Pre-K Director in the daily management of the school.
